Time for another what I ate Wednesday!
(You’ll notice that my food is not at all exciting. Making fun meals has kind of fallen by the wayside lately.)
Breakfast:
The Fitnessista’s “cookie dough cereal:” 1/2 cup oats mixed with a scoop of chocolate whey protein powder, a spoonful of Skippy Natural, a splash of water and some honey, topped with a sliced banana and unsweetened Silk soy milk. Blurry picture- apparently it was too early to focus.
Lunch:
Container of pre-packaged seitan “veggie turkey,” a Gala apple and a coconut cream pie Larabar. I didn’t pack much because I knew we’d be cooking and tasting all day, and I was right- over the course of the day, I had small portions of all the salads we made, as well as all the garnished fruits and veggies I cut and a bunch of homemade potato chips.
Dinner:
For dinner, I met my friend Jillian at Cosi, where I ordered a “turkey light” on white bread: turkey, tomatoes and spicy honey mustard with a side of baby carrots. When I got home, I also had a plain Greek yogurt with honey and a serving of Lindt Chili dark chocolate, which I forgot to photograph until after I ate them!
In addition, I had a bedtime snack of cucumber and hummus and some Kashi GoLean straight from the box…also unpictured. Amazing how quickly I got out of the habit of photographing most of the things I eat…
What was the best thing you ate yesterday?
I always see those veggie entree-type containers at Whole Foods but never pick one up. Maybe I will now. How was the veggie turkey?
Last night, my boyfriend and I went to dinner at a Mediterranean restaurant. Their kisir (similar to tabbouleh) was out of this world. I practically licked my plate clean!
Yesterday the best thing I ate was spaghetti squash primavera - so so good!
I always forget to photograph my food too!

I made mama pea’s pad thai yesterday and it was so, so good. I think I’ll have leftovers for lunch!
The best thing I ate yesterday was the new Panera Cherry Vanilla Bagel. To die for!
Morning pictures never turn out well. Being groggy and hungry is not the recipes for pretty pics. The best thing I ate yesterday was a raspberry white chocolate muffin.
hmmm - best thing I ate yesterday was probably an egg white omelette with black beans and avocado for dinner. So easy, cheap and satisfying. And there was chocolate, too, of course. In the form of the new chocolate chip cherry torte LARABAR.
I love Cosi! Unfortunately, I can’t eat there anymore :-/ The best thing I ate yesterday was a quinoa/brown rice blend salad with roasted asparagus, feta cheese, olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, seasoned with garlic and lemon! It was very good!
I adore that veggie turkey, I used to eat it all the time this summer when I needed something quick and easy while at work. The best thing that I ate wednesday was a bacio chocolate…of course I was traveling all yesterday, so it was nothing too interesting!
I love those macro-vegan pre packaged meals! And I love that you can find them everywhere
The best thing I ate yesterday was probably my vegan cheezy stuffed peppers. Or pieces of my dark chocolate loaf-bread.
I had a few desserts. Namely some new recipes that I created and am taste-testing
And honestly I ate about a half of bag of TJs sugar snap peas with some spicy red pepper dip that I made and that was great. Veggies can almost be as good as desserts
I’ve had the curry tofu version of that brand, and it is so delicious! I love the new direction of your blog- it’s fun to still see your daily eats now and then, and I really enjoy your recaps of your classes! So interesting- I am really learning a lot from your posts so thank you!

The best thing I ate yesterday was a turkey sub from Subway. That place never fails to satisfy me!
Coconut Cream Pie Larabars are my fav! Sometimes I find my photos don’t do the food’s justice so I do without! (oops!)
