Registration Day

Good morning everyone!! The next few hours are going to be somewhat stressful for me…registering for classes is no picnic. Keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly!

Yesterday’s Indian feast kept me full for quite awhile, so I wasn’t very hungry for dinner. I kept it light and simple with a hummus-topped salad beast.

Romaine, zucchini, tomato, carrots and plain Sabra. On the side, I had an unpictured slice of whole-wheat peanut butter toast.

I also had a bowl of grapes:

And a tiny square of Michel Cluizel dark chocolate from my chocolate show swag bag. The perfect size for my little craving!

A bit later I was feeling snackish and needed a study break, so I headed down to the deli for some spicy vegan tofu salad...and a side of pickles. Weird craving.

This morning, I woke up and had an unpictured Clif Z-Bar before heading to the gym for an easy 4-mile run on the treadmill. To be honest, I haven’t really stuck to the training plan I intended to use, instead just going with the flow and trying to balance long runs, short runs, hard runs, easy runs, speed work and strength training. This final week definitely calls for an easy schedule though!

Breakfast was a bowl of overnight oats. Before leaving for the gym, I prepped ½ c oats, a mashed banana, a scoop of Sun Warrior vanilla protein powder, and 1/3 c almond milk and left it in the fridge to set.

When I returned, I added a chopped apple, stirred in a little maple syrup and cinnamon, and microwaved the bowl for 90 seconds. Warm and comforting, and I didn’t have to dirty a pot!

Time to get this day started- have a good one!!

I hope you get all the classes you want! I've already gotten frantic e-mails from students who need my class, but weren't able to get in because it was already full :-(

I don't register until December 6th! Gahhh. Mostly because I don't have my AP credits transferred here yet. But I'm already guaranteed a spot in a Great Gatsby honors seminar, which I am STOKED about. Good luck with registering!

I recently decided I needed a break from oatmeal--totally forgot about overnight oats!

I'm sending you stress-free thoughts. Registration is annoying but it usually works out in a way that lets you graduate!

Oh I always hated registering for classes! It's always such a pain the further along you get, because there are only like TWO classes of things you NEED. Good luck!

Registration is so stressful! I'm glad we only have to do it 1x per year at my school! I hope it goes well and that you get into all the classes you want! :)

I remember registration stresses from my college days, not fun. Hope you get all the classes you want. Excellent breakfast, I've never tried Sun Warrior powder in oatmeal, but that looks wonderful.

Argh, you have my sympathy for registration - I always HATED it. They would put us in random time slots throughout the day so if you got a late time, chances were you wouldn't get your top picks. It's the pits! Fingers crossed for you.

Registration does suck. Figuring out a schedule that works for you and then inevitably, the one class you need will be closed. Then you have to go get permission to take it. Then 2 weeks into classes, everyone drops. Boo.

I always have good intentions on training plans and sticking to them but I don't know how people actually do it.

Have you ever tried your grapes frozen? They are delicious, especially on a HOT day!

I hope you got the classes you wanted! That was such a stressful part of school!

Hope you're doing well otherwise!

And not dirtying a pot for oats...it's the small things in life that just matter, dont they! :)

Good Luck!
I forgot to ask: what is your major or what are you taking in school? I'm in the same boat, and procrastinating, because I'm not quite sure as to what exactly I want to take/do yet! It is so frustrating and scary!
Any advice would be so appreciated!

Good luck with registration; I know how intense that can be!

I was in NYC for a conference this past weekend, but I was so busy with everything that I wouldn't have had time for a blogger meet-up, which would have been fun. Oh well...and I forgot to look for the tofu sammie! Drat. I'll just have to go back again. ;-)
