- 1/2 c rolled oats
- medium mashed banana
- scoop of Sun Warrior vanilla protein powder
- spoonful of Maranatha peanut butter
- splash of almond milk
I let this sit in the fridge overnight, and this morning I added:
- 1/2 pint blueberries
- sliced peach
- packet of Truvia
- enough almond milk to make them soupy
The recipe doesn't sound like anything amazing, but for some reason all of the ingredients came together perfectly. Happy tummy!
Plus an Adora dark chocolate calcium disk. Ecstatic tummy!
My workout this morning consisted of the Fitnessista's boot camp workout. It was the perfect thing to do at home, but definitely challenging, as well. I'll admit that I had some trouble with the plank moves!
Off to NYC with the madre and her French friend's daughter Louise. We're hitting up Central Park, Fifth Avenue, maybe a museum and CANDLE 79 for dinner. Happy Friday loves!!
What's the best breakfast you've had this week?
Have you ever been to NYC? What's your favorite thing to see there?

Fried egg white on top of sliced field tomatoes. Topped with sea salt, pepper, and sumac.
Girl that combo sounds amazing! I like how you made them soupy too!!!!!!!!
I hope you have a wonderful time in NYC with your parents! I know you love Candle 79!!!
Love you! xoxo
YUM! that bowl looks like straight-up cookie dough. Fruity...cookie dough? haha.
I'm JEAL that you're going to Candle 79!! It's making me think that we should set up a date that I can come visit you :) Not to invite myself or anything, hahaha.
Hmm best breakfast?? I had a green smoothie the other day after being sick of them for ages, and it tasted so good!
I eat my overnight oats pretty similar (instead of the protein powder, i put in cinnamon!). The maranatha butter is also very nutty tasting, which brings out more of the nut flavor. Love it.
Got a pen and wrote it down. Haha. Enjoy your trip to NYC - I love the little cafes they have there!
Oohh that does sound good!
My best breakfast this week was the green monster the other day..so smooth, thick and creamy!
As for NYC, I've never been but I would sell my mum to go!!
I must be the only person in the blog world who has never made overnight oats- but i gotta admit your recipe does look super appealing!
I've only been to NYC once and it was when I was seven- I'd love to go again though soon :)
Ohh - those oats sounds amazing!!!
Those oats do look amazing! I love drowning my oats in almond milk too! Hvae fun at Candle 79! I still need to try it there!!

have a great day!
Ooh, have fun! Sounds like a wonderful day!
Isn't it strange how there is sometimes the perfect combo of foods?
I'm hoping to do the fitnessista bootcamp workout today :)
The best breakfast I had this week was leftover Pad Thai. I just love leftovers for breakfast. I'm actually having leftover split pea soup for breakfast right now and it's really good, too.
I've been to NYC many times and my favorite thing to do is go to museums. There are so many good ones!
Even though I'm not an overnight oats fan, those do look pretty good! I love it when a breakfast comes together so perfectly like that!
My favourite breakfast this week was banana oatmeal topped with berries, AB, and cinnamon-vanilla granola. It was definitely the perfect combo of ingredients. :D
I have to say that I am a overnight oats newbie, I've yet to try a creation! Thanks for the recipe!
i looove the additions of frsh peach! I bet thats why it was so darn delicious! :)
I had eggwhites and oats and berries with som SF syrup and that right there wakes me up every morining!! I <3 it!!!
happy weekend, love!!
I love it when a meal tastes absolutely delicious for no apparent reason; maybe you just managed to hit all your cravings in one go :) The best breakfast I've had this week has been chocolate pudding oats, whiiiich is basically the same breakfast that I've been having all week. I always plan on making something different, but that's what I find myself craving in the mornings, so I just go with it :)
oh my god that does sound AMAZING! love the addition of bloobs and peaches :) i have totally not had enough peaches and bloobs this summer.
p.s. i'm making your pizza quinoa toniiiiiiiiiiiiight!
Gahhh I love Candle! Enjoy! I still haven't even tried overnight oats, let alone the best version ever...I'd better get on that....
definitely getting my pen out!! Gosh, that DOES sound amazing.
Enjoy your evening! xoxo
best breakfast this week...
nothing special this week. altho I'm in a cereal mood lately, so I keep mixing cereals up with a banana and milk.
and fav thing in NYC- NYU of course! ahah and peanut butter & company! ever have the peanut squares? I got them when I went a few visits ago- they ROCK!!
seeing all of these adora disks on these blogs is making me realllly want to try and find them ;)
and the overnight oats do look amazing! i'd thought of putting PB in before but was afraid it would get too lost now that i know it won't i'll have to do it myself ;)
i have never been to NYC! i would love to go for a day, but feel like anymore and i would be craving my vermont countryside back.
you and the calcium disks crack me up...you're in love with them. just to lyk, the form of calcium in supplements is usually really poorly assimilated and if you're truly trying to add calcium, eat more green food, no dairy (it leaches not adds calcium, paradoxical but true) and peter gillan's natural calm is the way to go. i have this all on my dairy FAQs post linked on my r-hand side margin. sorry for that random tangent but every time i see those calc chews, i mean to tell you
oh and thx for telling me that the 1 oz of baileys and trace dairy in it is hardly keeping the dairy farmers in biz. amen girl!
have a blast at candle!!!!!!!!!
I love soupy oats, but I prefer them hot. I have tried several variations on overnight oats and I think it's really just not my thing, maybe?
Best breakfast...meh, none have been too memorable. Smoothies with cereal, oats with nut butter, yogurt with fruit and nuts. I think this is a sign that I need to create something memorable tomorrow! And since it's a Saturday I will actually have time, hooray!
Have I been to NYC? lol...There are so many things that are my favorite here, it's hard to say. I like going to different neighborhoods and just exploring by foot!
I get excited for my overnight oats EVERY morning - I can't resist
I just tried this version of overnight oats this morning. And to answer your question, THIS was the best breakfast Ive had all week. I agree- the flavours somehow all work together so well! I followed your recipe down to even the peaches and blueberries because I actually had them in my fridge! Yum. I've never had soupy oats before and I LOVED it. Thanks!
