First of all, a MASSIVE THANK YOU to everyone for their support on yesterday’s post. Glad I finally got that off my chest. It actually feels a little disingenuous to post so soon after such a declaration, but taking the mirror pic has become a little part of my morning routine. It’s fun and encourages me to be a little less repetitive with my outfits. Here’s this week’s looks!
Skirt- Urban Outfitters; Top- Gap; Flats- Steve Madden. Totally J.Crew-less outfit! I bought this shirt senior year of high school and have worn probably a hundred times. It’s soft, comfy and cute- though it is starting to pill a little
Pants- J.Crew; Shirt- J.Crew; Headband- J.Crew; Heels- Cole Haan. Well, I certainly made up for the lack of J.Crew in the previous outfit. This was for a work breakfast- I added a blazer, too.
Shorts- J.Crew; Shirt- J.Crew; Shoes- Sperry Topsider; Necklace- J.Crew; Earrings- gift; Nails- Essie Candy Apple Mint. For the Erin Express on St. Patty’s Day! I should have worn a green shirt too, because I kept telling people to make sure to get my shorts in pictures…
Skirt- Anthropologie; T-shirt- Gap; Blazer- J.Crew; Flats- Steve Madden; Hair clips- Target. That skirt has seen at least a dozen college campuses: UVA, Richmond, Georgetown, UPenn, Carnegie Mellon, Nova…the list goes on. I wore it to practically every tour I went on the summer after sophomore year, and carried in into the southern states the next spring. I can’t wear it without thinking about that now. Oh, and the emo pose was so you could see my hair clips…I’m cool like that.
Dress- J.Crew; Cardigan- Target; Pumps- MaxMara; Headband- J.Crew. I wore this yesterday and was actually HOT when I went outside. It’s transitioned from not-really-winter to summer, and I love it.
Again, adorable outfits here!!!
I can’t believe that last week it was actually hot, and for me to admit that it was hot- it must have been scorching outside!
You look very ready for spring/summer!
HA! My first thought was “Oh that pic is so emo, how cute.” And then you said it too!
LOVE the green shorts. No, really, I LOVE them!!
Love those green shorts! Well, that whole outfit.
I looooove your green shorts!!
I never commented on your outfits before but for the record, I love them all whenever you post them. You are so cute how you paint your nails & I love your style! I need that Anthropologie skirt… I need to go there too thinking of it.
Love!
Hi Gabriela, this is a bit random, but I need some of your JCrew expertise. There is no JCrew anywhere near where I live so I order online pretty often. So far I’ve bought sweaters but never pants. I’m hesitant for the fit… following your experience, do JCrew pants and shorts fit more on the smaller or larger side? I find that some brands like Gap fit very large so I buy a few sizes smaller.
Thanks for your help!
I’d say they’re pretty true to size- I go between three sizes, and I’m the middle one at J.Crew. Definitely smaller than Gap. However, if you’re getting their pants with stretch I’d recommend a size down!
I love that pink j.crew top! I’d totally snap your pic if you lived in Madison, WI haha.
Maybe, instead of a HLB, you could become one of those daily outfit blogs! Either way, I love your outlook on life, your frankness, and last but not least, your round-up fashion pics.
I think you’re a great blogger - and whatever you decide you want (or don’t want) to write about, you’ll do it well.
