Since this morning I've spent a half hour on the elliptical watching Save the Last Dance, an hour on the phone with the passport department, two hours driving to Philadelphia and back to drop my mom off at the train station, half an hour walking Maggie, and an hour at the hair salon getting yesterday's mishap fixed. All better!
As I'd hoped, my stylist fixed it for free, and threw in a deep-conditioning treatment as well. I forewent the blow-dry since I figured my hair has had enough abuse for 24 hours, but I think it will dry just fine. Yay! As far as the passport goes, I have an appointment to get one in person later this week if the current one doesn't show up. Fingers crossed it arrives tomorrow!
Somewhere between all that, I wolfed down lunch. It's been ages since I had a plain old PB&J, but I've been watching my dad make them for himself every night for dessert and was craving one as a result!
I slathered two slices of rye bread with peanut butter and strawberry jelly, then had some baby carrots and Athenos black olive hummus on the side.
FYI, PB&J is awesome. I temporarily forgot that fact, but seriously- fruit-flavored sugar, peanut butter and carbs? No wonder it's such a classic.
Fresh Jersey strawberries for dessert! These were so juicy and ripe- absolutely perfect.
It turns out my mom actually forgot her wallet when she left this morning, so it's back to the train station to drop it off. And the saga continues...
Hope your day is a bit more relaxing than mine!
On a positive note, what are you most looking forward to this week? I cannot wait to leave for Fitbloggin on Friday morning!!
