It's Raining, It's Pouring (And Giveaway Winners!)

Well, those April showers are definitely here...

It's pretty warm though, so I'll take it! I didn't mention it much on the blog for the sake of staying positive, but winter weather really gets to me. Nothing zaps my spirits more than cold, so when it's freezing and dreary out, I'm far more likely to get sad, upset or angry for no reason. It's frustrating because I can't motivate myself to do even the things I usually love! I'm infinitely happier and way more energetic when it's warm out, so the recent weather change has finally got me feeling like myself again- and it's a very good feeling :)

Earlier this morning, I hit up the gym for an easy workout. I was a bit nervous that my pulled muscle would act up again, but thankfully it was totally fine for half an hour of super easy ellipticalling (level 3) coupled with some arm + ab work. I iced the back of my knee when I got home though, just to be on the safe side ;)

Since I had a bunch of spinach to use up and my sandwich thins were going stale, spinach sandwiches were the staple of today's lunch.

I spread two whole-wheat sandwich thins with lemon hummus, then topped them with plenty of raw spinach.

Along with my sammies, I also enjoyed a sliced Gala apple, a large handful of roasted almonds and a few pitted dates.

Normally I love spinach, but I must admit that today I had trouble eating it. I'm wondering if my sudden vegetable aversions have anything to do with the changing seasons, as well?

Before I go, here are the winners for the Peanut Butter & Co. giveaway!

Congrats, colesbites and VeggieGirl! Please email your shipping information to uneviesaine at gmail.com so I can pass it onto PB&Co. Thanks to all those who entered!

Off to class- I'm super excited for the plans I have this evening :)

Do the seasons affect your moods at all? If you could live in one year-round climate, what would it be? I'd choose a perpetually warm place- mid-80s all year would be a-okay with me!
