This morning I woke up early, grabbed a Clif Z-Bar, and headed to the gym. Though I usually do strength on Thursdays, I opted for 30 minutes on the ArcTrainer instead. I wanted to get the blood flowing for a bit before sitting on a plane for six hours! I also did a few upper-body weight exercises before calling it a day.
After heading to my only class, I came home to finish packing. Just as important as the clothes were the travel snacks!
Barney Butter sandwich on sprouted sourdough, carrots sticks + apple slices, Pure chocolate brownie bar and the last 2-ish servings of my Trader Joe's Fiber O's.
I'd been debating buying one of these for awhile, and finally went for it this week. It wasn't cheap, but all the pockets and padding make it much, much more travel-friendly than my black hole of a Longchamp bag. I stuffed it with my laptop, chargers, magazines, camera, purse, food, water bottle, liquid toiletries, makeup bag and umbrella and it's still compact enough to fit under the airplane seat. Win.
While waiting for my flight, I caved to a hummus craving with a Sabra hummus + pretzels cup. It turned out to be a good choice- I still have six hours of flying and I've eaten everything but the Pure bar and half the O's.
See you in San Francisco!!

I really wish I was going to the festival! There are so many bloggers I want to meet!
Have a good time!
My best travel tip = DO NOT MISS YOUR FLIGHT. LOL.
Looking forward to hearing about the foodbuzz festival! My travel tip is to pack your own snacks since airport prices are ridiculous...but it looks like you've got that covered :) Have a good flight!
The first sentence of this post made me laugh so hard! haha
Those little Sabra hummus packs are so convenient and delish!
Have a safe flight! :)
Best travel tip--good reading material, charged IPOD, and fun food :)
I'll be traveling to Australia this Sat for my Nov 20th wedding. WOOT, WOOT. I have blonde macaroons from One Lucky Duck and Dark choc covered almonds as my fun food. I'll also be packing oatmeal with sun warrior, lots of clementines (helps fight the aging affects of air travel--citrus is nature's botox), and hot tea packets. My reading material will be trashy magazines & the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
Have fun in San Fran :)
Love the bag! Super cute & convenient.
Have an awesome trip, and eat lots of great good!
Can't wait to hear all about it :)
Love that bag! My best travel tip is to give yourself extra time at the airport. It's better (at least to me) to hang around the terminal a bit than risk being late when there's a security snag or you hit traffic.
ahhh i hope you land soon and get to feast!! have fun at foodbuzz girl :) you're gonna have such an amazing time!!!
Have a safe, fun trip! I'm sure the fun part won't be hard, though :P (that sounds like being safe would be hard...not what I mean! haha)
Love the bag, too!
That is an awesome bag!!!
what a terrific bag - i'm always looking for a good one for travel.
see you soon!
Cuuuute bag! I love Lululemon bags for all of their pockets and compartments. It makes it so much easier to stay organized.
Have an awesome trip! My weekend plans involve writing 2 midterms and then going to the bar for a much needed night out!

travel snacks. i plan to bring...none. hah! I just dont care. and i have a 45 min flight, not 6 hrs!
how are you blogging from the air? pre-blogging and publishing on the ground? but janetha said she was blogging, i thought it was a Wordpress perk. and i read your comment to juliegolean, you were reading food blogs during the flight..i must be sooo far behind. i guess there's wifi on planes? i am normally tending to a toddler, 17 bags and a hubs, couldnt imagine actually having a moment to myself when traveling :)
Have fun m'dear! Can't wait to live the FBuzz Fest vicariously through you ;) Love ya!
