Part V of the San Francisco foodie experience: the Tasting Pavillion at the Metreon.
This was without a doubt the event I was most excited for this weekend. You just can’t go wrong with a huge room of free food!
The event was held in a large, airy space with gorgeous views of the city and plenty of lighting for good photography ;)
Since there was more food than I could even begin to describe, I’ll let the pictures do most of the talking.
Gourmet popcorns from 479°, which included an out-of-this-world chili caramel.
Tomatoes and chips flavored with artisan salts from Mendocino Sea Salt and Seasoning.
Their smoked salt was mouthwatering.
Lots of dried fruit, grapes and nuts from the Jarlsberg table.
Chocolate bars from Madecasse.
My favorite was flavored with sea salt and cacao nibs.
Butternut squash with the most perfect crouton from Tyler Florence.
Juicy, ripe pears from Frog Hollow Farms.
Fresh Express quinoa salad.
Gourmet olive oils with bread for tasting from Olive.
Unique savory toffees from Pop Candy.
Spicy pickled vegetables from Pick-A-Peck.
S'mores from Ghirardelli.
More Mission Mini cupcakes:
Onion rings, Cajun fries and sweet potato fries from Alexia.
Loved the crispy Cajun ones!
Roasted veggie salad from an Electrolux presentation.
Goat cheese stuffed mushrooms from the Fitnessista!
Could it be that I’m slowly warming to mushrooms?!
And the piece de resistance: the most buttery, chewy, perfectly decadent cookie dough bites from Annie the Baker.
Peanut butter extreme and toffee milk chocolate chip. Holy yum.
After that spread, it’s safe to say that I left thoroughly stuffed.
In addition to great eats, I also got to know some great blends a little better.

I can't even describe the jealousy. Seriously. I bet you are having so much fun. Mostly I am jealous of all the cool people you meet! I shouldn't complain though, seeing as I am running the NYC marathon tomorrow. I am so nervous! Eeeeeekkkkk.
Enough about me though. Tell everyone at foodbuzz that I say hello! I hope the weather is wonderful, the city is beautiful, and you are happy! :)
