This morning I decided to switch it up a bit and headed to our garage elliptical for a planned-out HIIT workout.
I tried to really give it my all, and whew- it was hard! It's a humid day, as well, so I was a sweaty mess by the time I was done. I'd ordered No Strings Attached on demand to entertain myself while working out, so I stayed on for another easy half an hour at resistance 1 while watching it. I'm surprised at how much I liked the movie!
For lunch a bit later, I made myself a roasted tofu and vegetable salad.
Earlier this morning, I'd roasted half a zucchini, a whole block of diced Nasoya firm tofu and a handful of baby carrots. I added a sliced tomato and some romaine lettuce, then topped it with a smattering of spicy yellow mustard and grabbed a whole-wheat tortilla to have with it.
All shaken up!
I also had a gala apple and a date square.
These things actually taste better after a few days- I think the crust and filling solidify to make them more bar-like and less crumbly.
Be back later with the recipe!
Do you prefer high-intensity intervals (HIIT), or steady-state cardio? Usually I'm more of a steady-state girl, but switching it up always leaves me way more tired. A sign that it's working, clearly ;)
