Flat Tour

Good morning from London!!

Since my dad and I are both cereal freaks, yesterday at Whole Foods we bought a box of whole-wheat cereal biscuits, a bunch of bananas and our respective milks (cow's for him, quinoa for me). I threw in a packet of Vega Choc-a-Lot smoothie infusion I brought from home, and called it breakfast.

My dad and I both described the cereal as "mush" once milk was added, and with the addition of the protein powder, it kind of had an overnight oats texture. Not bad, though!

As I mentioned last night, my dad and I are staying in a London flat instead of a hotel. They were about the same price for a week, and this place is way bigger and more convenient. We have a cute little kitchen with a seating area:

A small dining area on the landing between the kitchen and living room:

A beautifully decorated sitting room:

Then, a little entryway leads up a tiny staircase to the bedrooms and bathrooms:

I love how my bathroom is decorated with blue and white stripes- though taking a bath with that slanted ceiling last night was interesting.

My room is simple, with two twin beds (one of which I'm clearly using as my closet).

And my dad's bedroom is also blue-and-white themed (ignore the unmade bed...we're on vacation!)

He has a bathroom, too, but it was too awkwardly shaped to photograph.

It's not huge, but it's definitely homey. My dad said it was smaller than he expected, and I said it was bigger than I expected...New York real estate is rubbing off on me, I guess! Overall, I'm glad we chose this over a hotel. Just more room to spread out in.

Today we're heading out early to be at a few popular tourist attractions right when they open. See you later!!
