The exceptions to this rule: the Olympics, any time Philadelphia sports are in the playoffs, and apparently the Boston Marathon.
I wasn't planning to watch it today, but I happened to have my lunch break just in time to watch the elites cross the finish line online. Talk about inspiring! I watched Desire Davila come heartbreakingly close to being the first American woman to win since 1985, and saw Geoffry Mutai set a new world record, with a finishing time of 2:03:01. It was mind boggling- I can't even begin to comprehend running that fast!

I'd packed a portion of Saturday's vegan alfredo, as well as the last two slices of banana bread, an apple and two clementines.
To slice my lunch apples, I've been making use of this handy portable knife Mike's mom gave me for Christmas. Nifty, right?
I usually get a few looks whipping this out of my bag, but it's helpful when I'm in a rush and don't have time to slice and wrap an apple!
Time for a pile of work before a dinner meet-up this evening. See you all later!
Do you watch competitive sports? If so, which are your favorites/least favorites? Did you watch the Boston Marathon?
