Orlando Day 2

It's been a packed but fun day!

After posting this morning, my parents and I headed to the Orlando Premium Outlets for some discount shopping.

Confession: I'm not a big shopper. I'm good for an hour or two, but then I get bored and sick of trying on clothes.

I got two way-reduced tops at Ralph Lauren and BCBG (the total for both was under $40), then did a little more damage at this place (where I saw Megan!) :

You know you're a healthy living blogger when workout clothes start to excite you more than regular ones.

Shopping worked up quite an appetite, so afterwards we headed to the vegetarian hotspot Dandelion Communitea.

I loved how cute and friendly the restaurant felt!

My mom, dad and I each ordered a different salad. Dr. Dad went with the "Abundant Harvest"- spring greens loaded with garbanzo beans, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, peppers, corn, celery, broccoli and scallions, topped with sunflower seeds and Goddess dressing and served with hummus and blue corn chips.

Giuditta got the "Stir Fresh"- spring greens topped with cabbage, cucumber, carrots, bean sprouts, fresh herbs and sesame seeds, topped with creamy coconut-peanut dressing and peanuts and also served with hummus & chips.

And I ordered the "Polynesian Banana Fantasy"- spring greens with banana, carrots, celery, cucumber, and walnuts topped with Curryous dressing and finished with raisins and coconut flakes. I had hummus and chips as my side, as well.

I was 50/50 on the bananas- I love bananas and I love most fruits in salads, but I don't think that they were quite the right texture to complement everything else. Still, the salad was awesome and the Curryous dressing was some of the best I've ever had.

Following lunch, we hurried to the 3 pm showing of Titanic Experience, an exhibit complete with a Edwardian tour guide.

As the self-proclaimed Titanic Princess, I've seen quite a few exhibits! This one was different from the norm, but I really liked the recreations of Titanic's interior.

True-to-life replica of the ship's center propeller (the smallest one)
Marconi wireless room
JP Morgan's Parlor Suite (Cal and Rose's in the movie)
Grand Staircase
Grand Staircase ceiling
Original White Star Line china
Teak deck chair collected from the sea following the sinking
Blueprint copy
There were also plenty of props from James Cameron's movie:

Place setting in the Veranda Cafe
Rose's engagement ring
This touched Leonardo DiCaprio's body. I kind of wanted to take it and run.
And rooms dedicated to the sinking and discovery of the wreck.

Iceberg with real ice you could touch to feel the cold of the water that night

Replica of the ship as it sits today.
Fun fact: apparently this March 16, 1998 copy of People magazine is one of the best-selling issues ever and somewhat of a collector's item. Kinda cool, since I still have it stowed away my library of Titanic books!

Okay, end of Titanic talk. No need to nerd myself out anymore :)

After the exhibit, we headed back to the hotel. I'm currently snacking on a plate of carrots, mustard and mixed nuts (times a lot).

This evening we have plans to go out for Indian. Can't wait to stuff myself with roti!
