New Year's 2011

Happy New Year's everyone!! Hope your night was fantastic!

I spent just hanging out with a small group of people at a friend's house. Probably my favorite way to ring in the new year, anyway!

We cut into a dark chocolate raspberry cake I made at midnight

(new recipe I need to tweak)

Toasted 2011 with champagne at midnight

And tortured little Taylor with squeals and cuddles

I wanted to dognap her.

Despite a late bedtime, I was up and at 'em at 7, ready to start the year with my regular routine. I had a bowl of blueberry oats for breakfast:

 - 1/2 c oats
 - 1 c almond milk
 - sliced banana
 - lots of blueberries
 - vanilla extract
 - stevia

Time to start the first day of the new year! Hope it's a good one for all of you :)

How did you spend your new year's eve? At a blowout bash, or with just a few friends or family?

Happy New Year girl! Looks like you had a great night!

We had plans to hang out with a small group of friends, but then being sick got in the way for me. I almost felt good enough to go out, but knew I would regret it this morning if I had done anything. It turned out best because I'm feeling much better! My first year without seeing the ball drop though!

I went out to dinner, forgot my ID so I couldn't order a drink, came back and fell asleep at 9 and rang in the New Year with a cup of detox tea and watching the ball drop on TV. Super lame. :(

I spent my New Years at home. LOL.

Waking up for 5 to work kind of ruined my night :(

The bar that we went to was actually not as packed as we thought it would be - which was nice, cause we didnt get over carried away! Champagne at midnight, etc...good times!

I celebrated a lamesauce New Years Eve by going to bed at 10. It was just my parents and my sister anyways. Neither of my parents stayed up, but I don't know about my sister.

Happy New Year!!! Your getting up so early is pretty impressive! I was in bed pretty much the moment the clock struck twelve, and getting up at nine was a challenge for me!

I spent my night with my best friends from high school, gossiping, eating chocolate dipped fruit, and drinking real champagne.

Looks like a perfect night. We went to a party at a friend's place. It was a lot of fun! I don't usually stay up so late, though....

Excited for a night in with dinner and a movie on the couch!

Aw, what a perfect night! I totally prefer small gatherings with the ones I love to big blowouts. I actually tend to get really claustrophobic so ragers aren't really my thing ;)

p.s. what's your oats secret, girl?!?! Those look so creamy and perf!
