Leu Gardens and Winter Park

The weather finally warmed up for our last day in Orlando! It was a beautiful 70 degrees- warm enough to wear a sleeveless top!

Our first stop this afternoon was the Harry P. Leu garden near downtown. It was nice to be outside on such a beautiful day, and though the recent cold temperatures had destroyed a lot of the vegetation, there were still plenty of flowers and such to see.

Camelia flowers, my sister-in-law's namesake.

Look, a truffula tree!

There was also a beautiful lookout point over Lake Rowena.

After our walk around the garden, we headed to Winter Park, an upscale but cute little town.

First, we stopped at Palmano's Trattoria and Wine Bar for a light lunch.

This morning's peanut butter bagel did a great job of filling me up, so I just had a garden salad with spring mix, olives, tomatoes and onion topped with Italian dressing.

Giuditta and Dr. Dad also went the salad route.

Clearly, a love for greens is hereditary!

After lunch, we wandered around town for a bit, stopping in Peterbrooke Chocolatier for a dark chocolate fix:

As well as Sassafras Candy, where I got a few pieces of penny hard candy.

How awesome do these caramel apples look? They better have be, at $10 a pop!

We made the trek back to the hotel soon after, and are currently relaxing before our last dinner here. We're hitting up another vegan restaurant- I'm impressed with how many veg options Orlando has!

Hope you're enjoying your Saturday :)
