Though I know I already went on about my love affair with my graduating class, you’re going to have to humor me one more time J This evening, I met up with a few girls at Bertucci’s, home of the best rolls ever.
Seriously, if you’ve never been to Bertucci’s because of the chain-restaurant stigma, you’re missing out. These things are carb heaven- crusty, sweet outsides and perfectly fluffy, doughy, piping-hot insides. Bliss. I had two.
As my entrée, I decided to go with the unlimited soup-and-salad combo. I had two servings of house salad:
And a bowl of Tuscan minestrone soup:
I have to say that I forgot how good Italian salad dressing is. I tend to use simpler dressings like oil and vinegar, humnut sauce or hummus because they have more nutrients and staying power, but every once in awhile the good old-fashioned Kraft stuff is awesome.
It was a fun, casual dinner.
We passed on dessert, so when I got home I had a handful of delicious dark chocolate covered walnuts and a small slice of Amaretto pound cake.
Down to the last 70 pages of Harry Potter. Hope you’re all having a wonderful weekend!
What’s the best bread you’ve ever had?

I am a bread snob too. There is a deli that makes some of the best bread I've had in my life. I used to buy it all the time, but have since stopped since I enjoy making it so much - even if mine can't quite compare just yet ;) The rolls look heavenly. I love crusty outside + chewy inside.
Those chocolate covered walnuts sound awesome - I've ever seen anything fun done with walnnuts before, jealous!
Best bread!? Too hard to pick, although I love bread from Le Pain!
I also love the rolls from olive garden. People give chain restaurants too much crap. I try to find the yummie in everything!
Red Lobster's cheesy biscuits are definitely at the top of my list!
Fresh baked multigrain bread made by a family with a little bakery in their house that I bought on a mountain near Interlaken, Switzerland. Also, sourdough rosemary olive bread from the Bakehouse in Bloomington, Indiana. Though I admit with much shame, when I was a kid I loooooved rolls from Golden Corral and breadsticks from Pizza Hut and Fazoli's.
i'm pretty sure the best bread i've ever had was in paris, but that was so long ago i can't remember! too bad i didn't have a food blog back then...
They DO have the best rolls!
There is something about a really good roll. Yum!
warm sourdough is my favourite
best bread.... that is SO hard!! i love dough, dense, seedy bread... i had some amazing bread in Florence on a vineyard.. SO GOOD
Oh and the garlic and oil they send the bread with is heaven!
I am a sucker for almost any bread that is warm out of the oven. I love Bertucci's, especially after a long day of shopping. (There's one right by my mall)
I lovelovelove Great Harvest Bread, but my other favorite bread actually comes from a chain restaurant too! Rosemary bread from Macaroni Grill... amazing.
I'm not sure what the best bread I've ever had is, but I did have an amazing freshly baked olive bread from an organic bakery last night! Sooo yummy!
I LOVE it when meals come with unlimited salad! We have a restaurant chain here that offers it too and I love it! :D
Mmmm Bertucci's! Such an amazing restaraunt, I love their cheese, seriously haha.
Enjoy your Harry Potter and Sunday!
You are right... Bertucci's rolls are SOO good! I usually end up with a food baby after that restaurant;-)
<3 Bertucci's!!! Their pizza is so fab, too!!
i bet by the time you read this comment you'll have finished HP haha :) glad you had such a great time with the girls!! That bread does look ULTRA crispy and delicious!
Oh carbs, how I love thee. Does Banana Bread count? :)
OMG chocolate covered walnuts?! GIMME!!
Best bread ever? That's so hard! I have to say the homemade jalapeno cheese beer bread I had on T-day rocked my world ;)
I made some REALLY good sugar-free zucchini bread in October..Idk if it was THE best, but it was in the top 10 ;)
