Bonsoir mes amis! I hope you’ve all had a great Tuesday.
I was supposed to go out tonight, but I decided to be studious and stay in due to a midterm tomorrow. Never mind the fact that I have absolutely no idea how to study for an explication of a cold-reading article in which we’re only supposed to use the text. I’m pretty sure that getting a good night’s sleep is better preparation than falling into bed at 4 am, though I’m still rather bummed!
Dinner this evening was a pile of roasted veggies with an entire block of firm baked tofu, all smothered in salsa.
The veg: carrots, onions, brussel sprouts and califlower.
For the longest time I didn’t like onions, but I’ve since realized that love them roasted or caramelized. And your breath is never as stanky if the onions are cooked J
I also had a whole-wheat tortilla dipped into yet more salsa.
As well as frozen green grapes (x2):
A piece of vegan fudge:
And two more unpictured pumpkin treats from this afternoon, topped with pumpkin butter. Though I initially dubbed them “cookies,” after eating several of them I’ve determined that they’re more of the “scuffin texture (scone + muffin = scuffin). In any case, they’re delicious and filling!
Hope you all have a great night!!
Are there any foods that you only like prepared a certain way?
What’s the best: scones, muffins or cookies?

I just made cuffins/mupcakes (cupcake + muffin) and those were pretty delicious!
I think you made a good choice to stay in! You'll be happy you did tomorrow! :)
Yum I want your roasted veggie bowl! There are plenty of foods I like prepared a certain way. Cookies- warm and soft, veggies- roasted or steamed, ice cream-with oreos on top hahaha. Next question....cookies for me!
I like food of all kinds - I don't judge. :)
I had roasted veggies tonight too - except your pictures are prettier than mine because my lighting blows right now.
A. I need to try making a batch of scuffin - I've never tried them!
B. I definintely only eat brussels sprouts when they're roasted. And dinners of roasted veggies are completely fantastic. I use them as an excuse to make dipping sauces happen.
Cookies for me- definitely.
oh my god the tjs tomato basil hummus is one of my faaaaaaaaaavorites! it totally tastes like pizza! i love it on spag squash :)
we're roasted veg twins haha. i had a huge bowl of them with guac and salsa tonight!
the vegan fudge keeps saying "make me" ;)
habanero lime salsa? I'd dip everything in it too!
I prefer cookies - all day, any day.
That vegan fudge looks amazing btw.
dude, that tofu screamed for me. and i just bought brussel sprouts! can't wait to eat them!
i always prepare my potatoes the same way, roasting them with spices but always garlic!
I prefer cookies. Scones and muffins are good, but cookies are more of a treat for me :)
Wow, that all looks great! Um, what's best?! Well i think it's best if you can cover all three bases - sounds like you did here!!!
I was going to go out tonight too, but after eight hours of work and homework... I'm tired and early am call too!
Good luck tomorrow girl!!
Dinner looks good, I wish sooo bad I had my own kitchen to whip up awesome stuff like this.
And I prefer cookies, for sure. Could literally eat them all day, every day.
Oooh hard question! All very yummy, and it depends what mood I'm in, but probably cookies :) Although saying that I recently made Ohsheglow's pumpkin scuffins, which were SO GOOD! Yours look awesome too!
Mmm and your dinner looks very tasty too!
Good luck for tomorrow! :)
Mmm, I love roasted brussels. Unfortunately, the dining hall doesn't seem to have them around. Boo.
I also love caramelized onion anything. When I make them I wonder why I don't keep a batch around at all times. They're good on anything!
I hope your midterm went well today girl! At least now you can go out tonight to celebrate it being done! ;)
Muffins are by far my favourite! Their soft, fluffy texture is the best!
i'm a scookie (scone+ cookie) kind of girl, i must say! ha
