Happy Friday, everyone! Today’s guest post comes from one of my favorite bloggers-turned-friends, Julie from Peanut Butter Fingers, whose blog I love for its contagious positivity, ridiculously cute dog photos, and constant use of peanut butter!
Hi guys! My name is Julie and I am the blogger behind Peanut Butter Fingers. My blog follows my life with my brand spankin’ new husband Ryan (we were married in October 2010) and our insane but amazing dog, Sadie.
I frequently post sweaty interval workouts and (mostly) healthy recipes on my blog while also discussing really important topics like who should be eliminated on The Bachelorette.
When Gabriela reached out to me about guest posting on her blog, I jumped at the chance not only because I am a big fan of her blog, but also because she’s just as real, honest and fun in real life as she seems on her blog.
Since Gabriela frequently posts recipes that make me drool in front of my computer, I thought you guys might enjoy one of my random creations.
I am basically obsessed with smoothies. I love how you can cram a whole bunch of different nutrient-dense foods into one thick smoothie to begin your day on a healthy note.
One of my favorite smoothies is a peanut butter cup smoothie. It’s thick, creamy and packed with protein!
To make the smoothie, simply combine the following in a blender:
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
- 1 c. milk (I love almond milk)
- 1 tbsp. peanut butter
- 1 tbsp. cocoa powder
- 3 ice cubes
- 1 small frozen banana
I hope you enjoy!
In case you’re not a peanut butter lover (blasphemy!) you may also enjoy these smoothie recipes:
- Banana Mocha Protein Shake
- Extra Chocolaty Smoothie Bowl
- “Ice Cream” Smoothie
- Piña Colada Protein Smoothie
- Pumpkin Pie Protein Smoothie
- Strawberry Banana Smoothie
Thanks so much to Gabriela for allowing me to guest post on Une Vie Saine. :)
What’s your favorite smoothie recipe or combination?

I LOVE reading PBFingers..it’s one of my favorite blogs!
My favorite type of smoothie is chocolate peanut butter!! Delish.
It’s so fun seeing some of my favs on different blogs! Recently my fav smoothie is a chocolate cherry protein one. Delicious
Wait a sec…non-peanut butter lovers actually exist?????????
I’m actually too lazy to make smoothies often (on lazy Saturday mornings, cleaning the blender/food processor and having fresh veggies in the fridge is too much to ask- ha), but when I do, I like them with spinach, a frozen banana, frozen cherries, and natural vanilla protein. Yum!
Great to see Julie here!
You look adorable, Julie!
I love making smoothies out of mango. And frozen bananas in smoothies are great too.
Have a great weekend, ladies!
I can’t eat PB… but this would be awesome with soy nut butter!
My favourite smoothie combination is strawberry + banana.
thanks so much for letting me guest post, gabriela!
hope you’re enjoying your time away!
My fave smoothie recipe a.k.a. green monster: 3 leafs green monster, 1 c soy-milk, 1 T Chia seeds, 1/2 c pumpkin and 1 banana! It is sooooo yummy! If you drink it, drink it cold though!
