This evening, my parents and I were in the mood for a dinner out, so we headed to Bonefish Grill, an upscale seafood chain restaurant. We've eaten there before and have never been disappointed, so it was a good choice!
The restaurant was absolutely packed when we arrived, so we sat at the bar for a bit. My dad and I both had Flying Fish extra pale ales, which I really liked. I love pale ales.
Once seated, we were presented with the extensive seafood menu. My parents chose the bacon-wrapped scallops to start with, and I took care of the mango salsa and lettuce portion.
Our waiter also brought us a basket of warm, fresh bread with pesto olive oil. I had a slice and a half.
For my entree, I chose the Chilean sea bass topped with mango salsa and served with steamed vegetable medley and broccoli.
This was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. Sea bass is a personal favorite of mine, though I don't see it on menus very often.
Meanwhile, my dad got the grouper with parmesan zucchini and mashed potatoes:
And my mom got the special, orange roughy with broccoli and zucchini. They both cleaned their plates, as well!
With my entree, I also enjoyed a second drink: a cucumber-mint mojito. Very refreshing and surprisingly strong!
Though I was pretty full from my entree, my mom couldn't resist ordering a dessert for us to share. We split the warm macadamia nut brownie sundae three ways.
This thing was heaven on a plate. Hot, ooey-gooey brownie, bold vanilla bean ice cream and a real mountain of whipped cream. I definitely ate my share.
Feeling satisfied and sleepy now. Time to get to bed. Goodnight, friends!
