Maggie Meets Maggie

by Gabriela on Tuesday, May 17, 2011

So now two of my best friends are named Maggie…

This afternoon, my dog-loving friend Maggie came over to meet her doggie namesake. They’re both blonde, too!
Dog Maggie was too busy giving human Maggie kisses to smile for the camera, so HM had to help her out a bit.
Eventually, HM won DM over with some belly scratches.
Geez, Maggie, where is your modesty? What a little hussy.

For dinner a bit later, I was craving more vegetables. And hummus. A salad beast it was!
I used butter and romaine lettuces, a big tomato, a handful of baby carrots, a block of Trader Joe’s savory baked tofu and a pile of Trader Joe’s tomato-basil hummus, topped with a sprinkle of random herb mix I found in our pantry.
Plus, a toasted whole-wheat sandwich thin (thanks for the idea, Mag).
After demolishing the salad, I had a bowl of sliced strawberries, blueberries and roasted almonds.
And a bit later, I dug into yet another brownie and the last handful of milk chocolate covered dried cherries in this box.
The cherries were actually really gross and stale tasting, so I ended up sucking off the chocolate and tossing the cherry parts. Am I classy or am I classy?
Time to hopefully get work this last paper done. Maybe. Hope you have a great evening!

What traits do a lot of your friends have in common? What do you value most in a friend? Interestingly, the majority of my close friends are tall- I’m a shortie around them at 5’7″. I’ve also never been a cliquey girl “group” type, so I value loyalty, maturity and open-mindedness!
