Shannon and I actually went to school together for six years, but "met" again through blogging this winter. We'd met for lunch at Farmicia in January, as well.
Fresco was surprisingly full with the workday lunch crowd! It had a spacious layout with a fun feel.
Though the menu had a ton of options, we both ended up ordering the grilled ahi tuna salad- a sliced tuna steak atop a bed of spring mix, grated carrots and cucumber, served with cusabi dressing and a piece of cheesy focaccia bread.
Shannon said that this is her "usual" order here, and it certainly didn't disappoint. The tuna was fresh-tasting (a must when eating it nearly raw!), and the veggie portion was generous. The bread was probably my favorite part, though!
Over lunch, we talked about college, high school, blogging and races. It's funny to discuss both high school memories and blogging with someone- like two separate aspects of my life have collided!
Fresco also had a mouthwatering dessert case that we scoped out before leaving.
Their peanut butter pie looked especially delicious, so I bought a slice to have after dinner tonight. When I got home, though, it was talking to me from the fridge, so I couldn't resist having it as a lunch dessert instead!
I used to make peanut butter pie all the time in high school, but kind of forgot about it these past few years. So creamy and rich. Yum.
Passport still hasn't arrived or even been sent out yet, and now my computer is starting to freak out at me big time. This week just won't quit!
What's your favorite kind of pie? My all-time favorite is without a doubt strawberry rhubarb, but after this slice I think peanut butter is a close second...it depends on what kind of mood I'm in!
