I made it to Baltimore around 8 AM this morning after an easy two-hour drive. Just in time for breakfast! Since I'd already eaten cereal for breakfast (this girl cannot wait 2.5 hours after waking up to eat), I passed on the Uncle Sam and Erehorn cereal spread and instead loaded up on the fresh fruit- pineapple and berries.
This plate x2. You can never have too much fruit, especially when it's free!
The conference portion of this weekend doesn't officially start until tomorrow morning, so while there were a few fitness activities set up, I declared it a rest day and instead spent a few hours meeting and chatting with people.
By mid-morning, a group of us were feeling pretty hungry, so we decided to check out the Whole Foods a few blocks away.
Lunch was at 1, but from the menu the veg options seemed pretty minimal, so I grab some hot and cold bar items instead.
Curried butternut squash, marinated green beans, roasted asparagus, Greek salad, baby corn, kale, tomatoes, BBQ tofu and artichoke hearts, among other things.
Once back at the conference, I supplemented my meal with some fresh fruit from the lunch spread.
During lunch, Katy hosted a live FitBlog chat, a real-life version of the Twitter chat that goes on Tuesdays at 9 PM. The whole lunch was broadcasted live online, which was pretty cool!
Though the fruit cup was good, after lunch a few of us were craving something seriously sweet, so Courtney, Sana, Jaclyn and I all headed back to Whole Foods to snag some of the delicious-looking cupcakes we'd spotted earlier.
Each of us chose a different flavor, and then we split them four ways.
Courtney got vanilla raspberry:
Sana got caramel:
And Jaclyn got chocolate:
I am the cupcake queen!
By the time we got back to the hotel, the FitBloggin expo was going on. There were a bunch of booths set up, giving out swag and talking about their products.
Like Popchips, where apparently Sana and decided we don't like each other:
And Dr. Praeger's, where they were giving out samples of their veggie burgers:
Unpacked the swag- lots of coupons and good stuff, including a Jillian Michaels book, Larabars, FiberOne and even New Balance sneakers.
