Pickles and Beer, Hummus and Wine

Last night, Gracie met up to get a few drinks together. We both had things to celebrate!

The two of us met at Lederhosen, one of my favorite spots in the West Village. It's a little German beer hall with a very authentic menu and comfortable atmosphere. We each had the Hofbrauhaus Lager, and I ordered a pickle. I love that they have these on the menu.

We'd both eaten before meeting, but a bit later we were feeling kind of hungry and made a stop at Hummus Place for a snack ;)

Fresh, creamy hummus served with huge fluffy whole-wheat pitas served fresh from the oven. To die. We also each had a glass of their fruit sangria. I can't wait for sangria-drinking season to be in full swing!

Evenings like these are my favorite- just going out and exploring the city with a friend. Gracie and I always have fun together :)

For breakfast this morning, I kept things simple.

Nature's Path SmartBran cereal + a big sliced banana + almond milk.

I've got lots of fun things planned for today, including a spin class, lunch plans with two old friends and a small blogger dinner date. The forecast is sunny and relatively warm, too :) Hope you all have a great Saturday!

What's your favorite warm-weather beverage, either alcoholic or non? I really love summer beers, but I also really enjoy Fresca on a hot day!
