Since it's sunny and relatively warm for the first time in weeks, I decided to take my time walking to the expo this morning- with bare legs, no less :D
- Tiered black ruffle dress: J.Crew Factory outlet
- Black cotton cardigan: Target
- Ruffled gray herringbone jacket: J.Crew
- White pashmina scarf: street vendor
- Black flats: Tory Burch
I was worried that I'd be cold, but this was actually the perfect outfit, especially after I bought a soy latte to keep my hands warm. I meandered uptown, munching on a Larabar and just enjoying the beautiful day.
The expo was held at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea (the same place the Chocolate Show was held in November!).
I arrived, picked up my bib, t-shirt and goody bag, then started exploring!
At the Silk booth, I sampled their new coconut milk, which I had no idea they made:
At the Thomas booth, I tried multiple pieces of cinnamon-raisin and whole-wheat bagel thins topped with peanut butter.
Lady SpeedStick was giving out free deodorant. Perfect timing, considering that the top just broke off of mine this morning.
I loved that the ASPCA had a booth, too! Adopting animals is so underrated- why pay a ton of money for a dog or cat when there are so many out there who need good homes?
Eventually I met up with Caitlin, my walking buddy for tomorrow. I know it's a huge bummer to both of us that we won't be able to run the race, but having someone to walk with definitely makes it more fun. I'm pumped for tomorrow!

Though I was planning on having a big salad for lunch, for some reason veggies are just not appealing to me at all today. Instead, I made myself exactly what I was craving:
An almond butter sandwich with apple slices. Since this was a brand-new jar of AB, I also helped myself to several spoonfuls while stirring it up. The silver lining to an arm-tiring task! A few dates were consumed a bit later, as well.
Going to relax for a bit before my plans this evening. Hope you're having a wonderful Saturday as well!
What has been the highlight of your day so far?
