I have incredibly fine hair (but a lot of it- fine, thick hair), and whenever it's humid and warm, the strands around my temples curl up immediately. It's super awkward looking in a ponytail, when all my hair is pulled back and the little pieces pop out to play. My mom calls them "angel wings," but people have also called them "devil's horns"...I guess it depends on who's talking ;) Today was the first time it's happened this spring, and while it marks the start of a lot of flat-ironing and hairspray, it also means that it's finally warm out!
(Although I'll definitely regret this feeling in a few weeks when the little devils are out full swing...)

Today's packed lunch was something new:
I simply stirred half a can of chickpeas, half a block of tempeh and half a diced cucumber with a few spoonfuls of TJ's tomato-basil hummus, then packed it up in an old glass nut butter jar for transportation.
It ended up being a great lunch- filling, with plenty of textures going on!
On the side, I had some roasted almonds and a few dates
As well as the ubiquitous apple. I can't help it that they pack so easily!
Before I go, don't forget to enter my favorite things giveaway! I've gotten some great suggestions of things you'd all like to see more of in the comments section, so hopefully you'll be seeing some fun new features on Une Vie Saine in the near future :)
Off to find an outdoor coffee shop to work in. I can't bear to be inside today! See you for dinner.
