* In light of this morning's tsunami in Japan, my prayers are with the people affected. I'm praying that Hawaii and other Pacific Islands, as well as the West Coast, will not be hit too hard and that everyone in these locations stays safe. *

This morning's TV coverage has certainly put a damper on this beautiful day. Ironically, I actually learned of the disaster via Twitter while eating breakfast...
Same as yesterday's bowl: Fiber One, blackberries and chocolate almond milk.
In many ways, I feel as though social media has become the way through which I learn the most news. I don't watch much TV (barely ever in my apartment) and I certainly don't keep up with newspapers or news sites as much as I should, so whenever something big happens I'm generally tipped off through a Tweet before anything else. I think it's a double-edged sword: it's great that communication has become so easy and fast, but it's also removed much of the interest of written journalism, which is a shame. There's a lot to be said for reading a physical newspaper or magazine!
I'm off to the gym for a BodyPump class. See you all later!
