Today's lunch involved a smoothie with spinach, and the looks of it made me want to gag a little. It looked a bit browner in person, actually, which called to mind some not-so-pleasant bodily fluids.
Taste-and-health wise though, it was great:
- large banana, broken into chunks
- big handful of raw spinach
- half a can of Libby's pumpkin
- 1/4 c Living Harvest hemp protein
- two spoonfuls of Tropical Traditions peanut-coconut butter
- spoonful of cocoa powder
- 1 c chocolate almond milk
- two packets of Truvia
Normally hemp protein tastes pretty earthy, but the peanut-coconut butter did a great job of covering it up. This batch actually made another small glass in addition to the one pictured! I also had an apple for some chewing action.
It was exactly what I craved after this morning's workout: 55 minutes of intervals on the elliptical in our garage (2 minutes around 65 RPMs, 1 minute around 80 RPMs). The Real Housewives of Miami made the time fly by- does anyone else feel like Bravo is going a bit overboard with six different housewife locations, though?

Backtracking to this morning's breakfast, I had what I think I should just dub "The Classic": a whopping bowl of Fiber One with fresh blueberries and hemp milk.
It never disappoints :)
Now, I'm heading out to visit my grandmother with my dad. Hope you're having a wonderful Sunday!
What breakfast would be your "classic"?
