Hummus Place

This morning seems like a million years ago- and I haven't eaten dinner yet!

Late this morning, Cassie, Jillian and I ventured out into the city for a little exploring. It wasn't long before we got cold and hungry, so we decided to stop at The Hummus Place for lunch.

I'm becoming more and more of a hummus fiend every single day. I started off with a pot of black tea to warm and wake me up.

We decided to each get a bowl of vegetable soup, and to split two hummus entrees.

The chunky vegetable soup was full of onion, celery, potato, carrot, butternut squash and zucchini, and came with a bowl of adorable mini-croutons.

Our waitress urged us to order two hummus plates instead of just one, so we chose the hummus masabacha, topped with chickpeas, olive oil and spices:

And the hummus mushrooms, with sauteed mushrooms, onions, olive oil and spices.

Surprisingly, I actually enjoyed the mushroom flavor- albeit sans the big chunks of 'shroom! The classic hummus was my favorite though, and I ate a ton of it + all the chickpeas with the help of warm white and whole-wheat pita.

Satisfied with hummus babies, we wandered around for a bit more before calling it quits. It was just too windy to be out for long!

After taking a break at Jillian's place, we decided to go back out for some Pinkberry. Though the froyo was tempting, I was just starting to warm up and opted against it...but still was happy to receive a heart-shaped balloon. It's the little things, right?

In lieu of frozen dessert, I had a mug of hot vegetable soup when we go back, along with some unpictured Dove dark chocolates:

As well as some stovetop popcorn we picked up at a deli. Doesn't Jillian look like a pro?

Perfect popcorn!

I'm currently sipping my second mug of tea while getting ready to go out for dinner. I'm determined to stay warm this evening, so bundling up and hot beverages are a necessity!!

Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!
