Fruit and Cereal

Good morning, folks! Happy Tuesday!

With a six-hour solid class block in the afternoon, Tuesday is usually my least favorite day, but  since I only have two days of classes this week, I'm not feeling too down about it. Plus, I just crossed off that last item on my to-do list and have already completed all my work for tomorrow, which means some downtime tonight. Woo!

For breakfast this morning, I wolfed down a bowl of Kashi GoLean with a banana, strawberries and almond milk.

Looks like I'm back in my cereal rut again. I'll be switching it up tomorrow, I think ;)

I've gotten some questions via email and comments asking how I've made it a habit to eat so many fruits and vegetables each day. My response? Add 'em to everything. Cereal, oats, pastas, casseroles, sandwiches- I always ask myself how I can sneak another serving of produce in somehow! Serve savory meals atop a bed of spinach, add an extra banana, apple, carrot sticks or sliced pepper to your packed lunch, and enjoy some fruit with your dinner. Though I always have at least one piece of fruit for breakfast, if possible I try to add a second! It adds lots of bulk, fiber and nutrients to your bowl! But most importantly, don't stress about it- some days I eat only a serving or two of vegetables, and some days I'll eat as many as ten or so. It all balances out!

Off to the gym. Hope you have a wonderful day!

What's your favorite way to add an extra serving or fruits or vegetables to your daily intake?
