Breakfast Mix-Up

I know you never thought you'd see the day when one of my breakfasts didn't come in a bowl, but this morning I went out on a limb and made good use of a few frozen bananas that have been piling up in my freezer.

Chocolate-banana smoothie, containing:
- 2 frozen bananas
- 1 serving Vega shake & go chocolate protein powder
- 1 c chocolate almond milk
- 1 T cocoa powder
- 1 tsp xanthan gum
- 1.5 T chia seeds
- agave to taste

The combination of xanthan gum + chia seeds + frozen bananas made this uber thick. Check out the puddingy consistency!

Since it's virtually impossible for me to go a day without cereal, I had to include it in my lunch.

I combined a few servings of Three Sisters honey oaties with a microwaved apple, a hefty amount of TJ's peanut flour paste (peanut flour + water + honey), and some warm almond milk. And a sprinkle of cinnamon, of course!

The result was a warm, super-filling bowl that was perfect for this chilly day. Yummy. I had some unpictured carrot sticks with lemon hummus, as well.

Time to get to work finishing my paper. I've got a buttload of baking to do this evening as well!

Are there any foods you eat every single day? It's rare that I don't eat an apple or at least a serving of cereal.

PS- Have you entered my Super Charge Me cookie giveaway?

Your cereal bowl looks outstanding! Something you might enjoy: try adding a bit of TVP (textured vegetable protein) to your peanut paste for a crunchy PB texture (+ extra protein)!!!

That smoothie looks fantastic! I wish I had it it sitting in front of me right now.

I think it's been a while since I DIDN'T have an apple...something feels off if I don't eat an apple at 9:30am (which is snacktime in my classroom).

im posting in an hour or so about food "obsessions"...things a person eats all the time. Lately (for the past few weeks) this has involved homemade vegan GF rice krispie treats w/ a THICK layer of homemade vegan chocolate frosting. lol.

And also lots of green food :) Man cannot live on desserts alone. But I bet woman could :)

Your smoothie looks awesome!

its rare that i dont eat some form of nut butter and oatmeal ahah. ALSO Im so jealous your frozen bananas blended well! I tried making banana soft serve and it was a total fail-the banana just sprayed everywhere and cut up in tiny little pieces... FAIL

It's very rare when I don't have dark chocolate! :P Or oats in some form or bananas. But it would definitely be a weird day without the chocolate! :D
